What a crazy trip it was on the Thailand incentive trip. We easily came home with $500 in Stampin' Up Products, that I can't wait to break into and start showing you, but first things first.

The theme this month is "Love is all you need" and I have a really sweet friend on my mind today. My dear friend Carol was diagnosed with breast cancer last week, and she's going in for surgery today. I plan on sending her both these cards. She is a blessing to so many and to me!
I have been a woman on a mission playing with the freezer paper technique I have to share with you today.
The steps are pretty basic:
Cut some freezer paper (found at the grocery store) out with a big shot die.
Iron it on your paper.
Watercolor on top. (glitter optional too)
Use a heat gun and a pair of paper snips to lift the watercolor paper.
Fill in any imperfections with a white gel pen
Finish your card.
Here is a video I did for you today to show you the steps.
As far as the big shot tips, after showing "how easy" my dies were to cut, i had some trouble and left it in there so you could see how I fixed it. If you have trouble sometimes with intricate cuts, below are two graphics that can help you with your sandwich when cutting intricate dies. Here is another example I made using the same technique and the Bloomin Love Bundle also by Stampin' Up! and I used the above guide for the intricate cut, making it MUCH easier to get a clean cut than before. Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me share with you today.

I'm so excited about the new catalog that went live TODAY! Oh my gosh, I've already placed two personal orders that I'm so super excited about! Today, I would like to share this card using the You've Got this Stamp Set and Endless Wishes Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! I did a similar card with my stamp clubs this month and they loved the technique.
I just changed up the sentiment to make it easier to put into my orders as thank you cards for this month
Measurements For This Card:
Base: Sahara Sand 8 1/2 x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Layer 2: Blackberry bliss 5 1/8 x 3 7/8"
Layer 3: Very Vanilla Card Stock 5 x 3 3/4"
In the video I show you how I got the super light background, by "Stamping Off." It made the cool squiggle background. Then I stamped, full strength in Blackberry Bliss ink, and moved it with a blender pen. I only moved the color on the left and bottom, and I did speed up the video so you could see me watercolor the whole card, but it wouldn't take too long. So, here's this Tuesday's Tip Video.

After this weeks blog hop, I got a few emails on how to do the Scrunched Ribbon Technique with the Dotted Lace Trim Ribbon that will go live on June 2nd from Stampin' Up!
So, I made a video!
This is a different card than my original post for the blog hop, but we made this cute and quick card in stamp club this month.
When you see the technique you might say, that's it? But it comes out so pretty! This new ribbon is the perfect ribbon to scrunch because it's nice and thin and won't make your cards too "bunchy" to mail. {I think that's a new word}.
So this was a quick one! I hope you enjoyed the video. Here's a closer look at the project.
I have wanted to share a video with you for quite some time on blendabilities. They went live today and I'm LOVING playing with my sets! They ARE FINALLY available for customer order in a few colors, and the demonstrators get to preorder the colors we couldn't get before! woot!!

DONT FORGET to get a color lifter and a momento ink pad if you're getting the blendabilities. They are so necessary for use with your markers, oh, and some whisper white paper if you don't have some.

So
the reason I wanted to make a video about this one is because of all the
mediums I used on the one card. None of the layers interact with each
other, so there's a flawless pearl like finish on what I did.
1.
Stamped the image using the new die based ink, called momento ink (will
also be available when these beautiful, beautiful, markers are
released. )
2. Used the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive
Blendabilities to shade my flower image. Each of the colors, comes with
3 markers, so you get a light Razzleberry, a medium, and a rich dark
color for each set.

I started with the darkest areas of my flower first, then added the
medium, then went to the light. It takes a little bit of self control
not to color the whole thing in, so you get that super LUSH dark to
light color that makes your eye look twice at it.
4. Next, I went backwards again from light to dark, so you could get that stark contrast in color.

With the blendabilities, there's a nifty little tool called the color
lifter. It magically lifts the colors i already laid down on my
cardstock to add a highlight, or a light source to my colored image. So
it looks like this flower is sitting in the sun and my light source is
coming from behind me on the left. Do you see it?

Next, I colored the stem similar.. this time I went light to dark. So
far I have two mediums.. the momento Dye Based Ink, then the Alcohol
Based Markers on top. (did I mention they match my SU project perfectly
and are designed to coordinate colors... Oh such joy.. Anyway... On
top of that, I grabbed my Pink Pirouette Water based Ink Pad and sponged
some color over the top. I did that by inking up my sponge using a
circular motion, and then doing the same thing on my paper. So that's 3
mediums of ink. Next, I put the card together and added a spritz or
two of shimmer spritz. That made the card all super pearlized and
sparkly. To make my pearls Rich Razzleberry, You guessed it! I colored
them with the blendabilities, waited a second for them to dry and I
transferred them to the top of my project.
If
you want your own set of blendabilites, you might consider the
demonstrator opportunity. Demonstrators always get the inside scoop
from stampin up first, and have access to all preorder products. In
addition, this year, Stampin' Up is offering free convention
registration to anyone who signs up. That's a huge value!!

I recently purchased a brand new camera, and it takes videos! I have a friend from high school who got some goodies from Stampin' Up! but she has never picked up a stamp.
My intention for making this video is for her, but there is a cool thing that I do to the stickers of my clear mount stamps.
I'm sure it will come in handy for my customers who want to remember what I showed at a workshop if they forget. I use a 2-way glue pen. I already heard some feedback from my friends that they may have been using too much glue on their stamps.
Here it is! Please let me know what you think! I think I can improve, but it's not bad for my first one!
