One of the things I LOVE about being a stampin up demonstrator is the opportunity to order sets a MONTH before they go live. It gives me some time to get my classes in order and ready.
I received my first batch of preorder goodies and here's what I made! So ~ the colors here are the new Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla and soft suede.
Let me just talk for a minute about the new firm foam ink pads... I'm going to be replacing ALL my ink pads with these awesome new pads. It's like taking a layer of total smooth butter, and adding it to an ink pad. The even color and AMAZING coverage has me totally sold. I NEED them in every color asap!
I found the sketch for this card over on split coast stampers. This also fit's the paper players challenge this week. Something blue, ribbon and NEW STAMPS, I think I have a bingo!! So, I'm going to do the measurements for you quickly.
Base: 11 x 4 1/4", scored and folded in half at 5 1/2"
Layer 2: Midnight Muse 5 x 3 3/4"
Layer 3: Comfort Cafe Designer series paper: 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" (sigh)
Layer 4: Very Vanilla 1 1/2" x 4 1/4", embossed with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder.
Layer 5: Midnight Muse, 3 x 2 1/2", embossed with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder.
Layer 6: Stamped image, hand cut with a white border all the way around.

Ink: Firm Foam Stamp Pad, Midnight Muse 2012-2014 In Color
Paper: Comfort Cafe Designer series paper, Midnight Muse Card stock, Very Vanilla Cardstock
Accessories: Neutral Buttons, Soft Suede taffeta ribbon, linen thread.
