6/4 Gratitude Jar, MDS

Good Afternoon!

I have a few minutes here so I thought I'd share another project with you.. That's two in one day! Gasp!

This jar didn't take me too long to make today, but it's been in my studio since JANUARY earmarked for this project.  Guess I was just waiting for stampin up to come out with a 2" circle punch, which I received today!

I typed up the "count your blessings" in My Digital studio and printed it on shimmer white paper.  It fit the brand new punch that arrived this morning, via Mr Brown with a big red sticker (for overnight delivery).  I couldn't wait to get my new goodies.  I have two stamping events left this week, and I want to make some samples!!

This is a very special project that I stamped for my best friend, to let her know how much I think about her.  I completed it with the first slip of paper for her jar with my gratitude for her friendship.  The idea behind a gratitude jar is, you write what you are thankful for and stick the papers inside the jar.

Then, when you're having a bad day, you can take all the slips out and remember what matters most.  I love that.  This one is a gift, but i'll be making a replica to sit in my studio so I can write all the things I am grateful for too, like YOU.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Love,

My digital studio is not just about scrapbooking.  You can make multimedia videos, cards, scrapbooks, pages, print your own custom designer paper (as many sheets as you need of one design to complete a project) and more...

I have several people that have completely converted to MDS.  It's great for ANYONE who don't have time to scrapbook or make cards, but want all the bells and whistles of a homemade item!

You don't have to be a graphic artist for this program to work for you, but if you are, you'll have some fun playing too!  You can add drop shadows and frames to pictures and artwork.

Now ~ for a stroll down memory lane, here's my very first album made with mds.   I used ONLY the template that came with the full version disk and drag and dropped my photos and changed some text.  It makes anyone look like a pro!

Once you've downloaded the product, check out all the resources and TRAINING available on the MDS website. They have all sorts of training there for beginners, up to advanced users!  So cool!

My Digital Studio Baby Announcements

Good Morning Friends!

For those of you who know me well, you know that I briefly took a job this year to help pay the tuition for my daughter's school. I was very good at the photography... but let's just say I needed a monkey to come out of my cart and do the sales piece. I could use a sales person behind me on my shoulder. :D All in all, it wasn't the right place for me. I made another difficult decision to leave.

Recently I was asked by a few friends to take some pictures of their new grandchild for them. I got the equipment I needed for my camera from Santa and it seems I'm on my way! It's hard to know what God has in store for me.

The ability to capture one of God's greatest gifts on film couldn't be a better gift to me. I count my blessings every day that God had given me a way to stay at home and take care of my daughter while giving me a way to make a few bucks here and there and help pay for her education. More importantly, I thank God for the friendships that I have built as a result of crafting. A card is a pretty powerful thing, it's the biggest little thing you can do for someone. Anyway, I'm excited to share with you some of the photos I took and two different birth announcement samples. I took all the photos, and used My Digital Studio to create the Birth Announcements.

This first design is a "case" of my favorite birth announcement from my old job. Of course I changed it quite a bit and put the Stampin up spin on it! They will be printed post card style 5 x 7 and will be printed both sides. So, the two pictures shown here, will be one postcard.

The second is an alternate announcement to show a different design. I really like them both and hope that my friend will like one of them. Although she said she wont be needing many. I still had fun playing with the pictures of this new little miracle.

That's it for today. Watch out for those little blessings!

Also, I just saw this wonderful video from the Stampin' Up Home office and thought that I would share. First, a hybrid project, when you're talking about my digital studio, is a project that is started digitally, then finished with textile "toppings" or embellishments.

I really love doing this and have made many cards using a hybrid method. this one is really worth watching..

Have a wonderful day!!!

The Miracle of MDS ~ Free downloads and NEW downloads

My Digital Studio is one of the most AWESOME tools... Lately it's been saving me lots of time! We had a surprise retirement party for my mother in law.. (dont mind the photoshop drawing on my picture). I buzzed out the names to protect private info. :D

So ~ before I go any further.. Do you own My Digital Studio? There is a FREE upgrade for all users of the software and NEW downloads available. Click Here to go get your FREE downloads and upgrade your program.

So here is a {marked up} copy of the invitation. I designed the original copy in my digital studio, 4 to a sheet. Took it to the print shop and had them do color printing on my SHIMMER WHITE CARDSTOCK.

Oh yea, this baby sparkles! Then, I cut my layers and stuck it together. Easy peasy simple! I think from start to finish, including the 2 hours out to go get them printed, it took me about 4 hours. So this week, after the party I asked if she would like matching thank you notes.. (who wouldn't) :D

Here's what I came up with. Again, it doesnt get any easier than this to put together, and they look so polished! Someone at the print shop asked me if I do wedding invitations.. I guess... now I do! :D

Helpful MDS Links:

Enough information for you?!? :D There's so much to share when it comes to my digital studio. I hope you have time to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have some time to stamp4fun!

Bloggers challenge and Stamping 411

I am feeling a little bit behind on my blog, but it's Christmas! Sometimes in the hustle and bustle, you could miss out what's really important... spending time with the ones you love.

This week's theme for bloggers challenge is Christmas, and attached is the stamping 411 sketch. I turned one of the layers, to account for my text. I used my digital studio to create this card.

I am very fortunate to have some really amazing friends & family. So many friends that I would not have if it were not for stamping. I am thankful for each and every one of you.

This cute little card is what I would like to have printed for thank you cards this year. Christmas was full of wonder and excitement for those little eyes. That is what it's all about!

A New Halloween Costume Idea and a My Digital Studio Page!

We've been talking about Halloween all week. Deciding what to be for Halloween is always a daunting task. Earlier in the week Alexis shared that she wants to be Tinkerbell.

While playing outside, I suggested she be a bag of leaves. She loves to play with them and suggested we make a craft project out of the leaves in the back yard. However, that idea didn't fly.

Well today we thought of a third option. How about being a Stampin' Up! shipment!??? We got to work with some retired ribbon and a cropadile. Five minutes later we have our first draft! What do you think??

We spent the afternoon crafting. Alexis is holding the card she made using the floating re inkier technique. I don't think she'll ever part with that card. I tried to get her to give it to her teacher at school . No dice! Can you blame her? it's gorgeous!!

If you care to leave a message for miss Alexis, she won't send you hers, but she can pick who mine is going to.. Leave Alexis some love and you'll get a copy of her gorgeous creation!

Happy Craftin!
