Stamp Out Breast Cancer 2020 + a how to video for you!

Hello Stamping Friends!

Tomorrow marks the date of our 11th Annual Stamp Out Breast Cancer Fundraiser!

This year, because of these unusual times, we can't gather in person. I love the above photo from our event a few years ago with so many wonderful faces. They represent just a few of the very large group of people that band together to make this fundraiser happen, even now!

LINK TO DONATE:

WHAT IS THIS EVENT? Normally, we would gather together to make greeting cards (real works of art!), socialize, and enjoy hundreds of raffle items. In 2020 we have reinvented the event - Stamp Out Breast Cancer - At Home!

This year, if you contribute $25, or more, I will send you 22 project designs with instructions, that you can recreate using your own supplies! These creations were designed by demonstrators from around the world - and include gift card holders and other fun techniques!
The project below is the gift card holder/cup I designed. That's right! A standard gift card fits right in the cup! It can be redecorated 100 different ways for different occasions and the PDF template for that cup will be included with your PDFs. I did a video this week to show you how to use the PDF.

Cancer has touched our family and stamping families in more ways than I can even share!

This event is so near and dear to my heart and so many friend's hearts too. That is EXACTLY why our team from around the world banded together to fight even during this crazy year!

Thank you in advance for helping this cause if you can afford to help and know that your thank you tutorials will be ready by Monday, November 2, 2020.

Finally, Here is the video from this week to show how to use the template for the cup.

Thank you in advance for doing what you can to support this cause!

Love,

Selene

Stamp Out Breast Cancer 2016 (7th Annual Event!)

Hello Friend!

If you have never been to the annual fundraiser that we do for breast cancer every year, make this your year to try it out!  We are celebrating 7 years of walking side by side to end Breast Cancer and we would love for you to be a part of it all!

Stamping Friends from across the globe have participated in this fundraiser before and even if you can't be here in person, there are so many ways to participate! With so many of our loved ones affected by this horrible disease it's such a powerful thing to never let them walk alone!

Join us, OR simply make a donation:
One of the many things I love about Stampin Up, is how we can use it to help build others up. Join me and our team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators and help us raise money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer while having some stamping fun at the same time!
All Donations will receive a free tutorial for the 5 projects shown above.

Help us meet our goal of $6,000!

What to expect at the event:

Pay $25 at the door, or donate direct $20 online to the charity to gain entry to the event. Bring some extra cash because the raffles are AMAZING every year. You can purchase raffle tickets in the back of the hall on the right hand side.

Browse around from station to station and make your 5 projects (or just stay and enjoy some music). We will have a guest speaker talk about the disease and begin calling our raffle winners shortly after 2:30. We hope to see you there!
A keynote speaker/survivor's once had some very powerful words.
She said "Last year, I attended this event and was encouraged to go get a mammogram. You talked about the importance of early detection. I was diagnosed, treated, and today, I stand before you Cancer free, Thank you."   Talk about changing lives!
All donations receive a free tutorial and entry to win one of our awesome Door prizes*. Whether you attend or not.

*This year's door prizes are: Big Shot Die cut Machine ($110 value), Full set of Stampin Write Markers ($110 value), Full set of Ink Pads ($250 value) & Letters for You & Alphabet Dies Bundle ($133 value).

Come and see why people say over and over:
  • "I'll Never miss another one!"
  • "This was so inspiring"
  • "It is so amazing to know we can do what we love and help a great cause at the same time"
Let's walk side by side to help find a cure!
With Gratitude,

Selene

Stamp Out Breast Cancer 2013

Good Afternoon Friends!

I'm so happy to finally be able to announce the FOURTH ANNUAL Stamp Out Breast Cancer Event!  100% of all funds collected at this class will be given to making strides of Boston for Cancer Research!

During the process of creating this class, last years keynote speaker/survivor's words ring in my heart over and over.  She said "Last year, I attended this event and was encouraged to go get a mammogram.  You talked about the importance of early detection.  I was diagnosed, treated, and today, I stand before you Cancer free, Thank you."  I assure you there was not a dry eye in the hall, but the big thing that I pulled away from last years event was how stamping changes lives!  Please join us and be a part of this fundraiser in any way you can.  If you live far away, consider having your own event.  Together we can make a difference!

Without any further, may I present, from my heart:

The Sweet Celebrations Class

Introducing the Stamp Out Breast Cancer 2013, Class Planner

Join us and together we will do what we love and stamp for a world without breast cancer with the From The Sweet Celebrations Class Planner.  Every penny from the sale of this class planner will be donated to Making Strides, a Division of the American Cancer Society.

This planner is very special to me.  It is my sincere hope that the sale of this planner will spur the idea for breast cancer fundraisers across the nation and maybe the globe.  Together we can Stamp Out Breast Cancer and Create a World with More Birthdays, One card at a time!

So, here's what I'd like you to know before you buy.
I'd love for you to teach classes using my projects.  Feel free to teach any of my tutorials as a class.  You must charge for the class and it must generate revenue for you (or for your favorite charity) to distribute this template.  You may use this template as a handout in a class, but please do not freely distribute this. 10/1 Snowflake Soiree meets Serene Silhouetts and Floral District DSP

Good Afternoon Friends,

I have a special share with you today.  It's been a REALLY long time since I have participated in the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  I've been pulled in so many different directions and today I spent some time in the studio making favors for my nephew's class.  It really gave me some time to think about today's challenges.

I was over on Split Coast Stampers and there is a whole thread about "who you are" in relationship to Breast Cancer Awareness month.  The challenge today was to make a card that's "you".

Where I sit today ~ I believe in people.  I believe that people can stand together and make a difference in the lives of each other and the lives of our children.  I know so many people who's lives have been touched by cancer.  I personally lost my dad to lung cancer when he was 57 years old.  If there was no cancer, he might still be here to meet his granddaughter and son in law.

So ~ this card is my expression of all of that. I did go way outside what I usually do, using stamps that aren't all in one set.  I had fun making this and that's where I'm leaving this one.

Here is a shopping list.

Stamps: Snowflake Soiree, Serene Silhouetts
Ink: Rose Red Marker
Paper: Shimmer White, Rose Red Card Stock, Rich Razzleberry, and Floral District DSP
Ribbon: 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon
Framelits: Floral Frames Framilit used on the background)
Punches: Fancy Flower x2 (used for the scallops behind the punched circle), 1 3/4" circle punch
Embossing Folder:  Vintage Wallpaper

Please have a great week!

It's time to Stamp Out Breast Cancer!!

I am so very excited to announce the THIRD annual Stamp Out Breast Cancer fundraiser!  It's very easy to sign up to join us.  Just donate to our team member named "Event Registration" online, your money goes right to the charity and you are registered for a day of stamping fun!

For starters, you'll be surrounded by people all dressed in PINK!  (what could be better?)  Well, we'll have drinks and Pizza (donated by Romano's Pizza in Dracut) & munchies and fun!  We will be swapping full Stampin' Up created cards!  So make a few and come swap with us {yea! just like convention}

Here's what else we're doing:

Eleven local demonstrators have agreed to donate the supplies to make these five gorgeous cards.  We are broken into 5 teams of 2, plus me!  I'll be fluttering around like a butterfly all day to make sure everyone is happy and things go smooth.  It's $25 at the door to make the 5 cards, plus we will be selling raffle tickets all day long for a host of different prizes.  There's a huge donation (value $300) that will be coming from the stampin' up home office.  We've already started getting gift certificates and gift baskets.  Someone who works for Kurig is trying to get a home brewer donated.  You get the picture.  There are SO many raffles they take up the ENTIRE STAGE at Dracut's Harmony Hall!  Love that!  And for raffle tickets to benefit Making Strides, we're giving every last thing away!  {can you tell I'm excited??}

Just for attending you'll be entered in the door prize raffle to win either a Big Shot or a prize bundle with the complete supplies to make all the cards shown above (and then some).  Isn't that the coolest?  Well, all of that is ALSO donated by fabulous people like YOU!

So there are a few ways that you can donate:

First, if you are a demo and can't attend, but you want to contribute ~ this is BRAND NEW this year ~ I created a Class Planner for you.  To read all about my idea for this and to get your planner, click here for more details.

The flier, that shows all the info about the day is located here.

If you just want to register for the event, click here and make a $20 donation to the team member Event Registration.   This step is important, if you donate to the general team, the email will not come to your inbox.  OH!! Did you notice it's $5 less when you do it online?  Well, we want to encourage you to pay the charity directly!

You will receive an email with the address to harmony hall and the detailed directions as a thank you.  {note: this does not have the demo planner attached to it, that's separate set of documents}

That's it in a nutshell!  Just a day devoted to having more birthdays!  What do I mean?  Well, if we lived in a world without cancer there would be a lot more birthdays and THAT would be a reason to celebrate!

Big Hugs!

Good Morning Friends,

I have been waiting FOREVER to share this event with you and we've finally put all the finishing touches on an event that is going to be AMAZING!!

You are cordially invited to the SECOND Annual Stamp Out Breast Cancer Event. This is a very special event in that, ALL supplies are donated by demonstrators and friends. This means that EVERYTHING that we collect for the fundraiser goes straight to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Charity. I couldn't be more excited!

This year's event will be held in Dracut MA, at the GORGEOUS Harmony Hall. It is a historical building that was actually moved up Lakeview Avenue. Then, it had a major restoration. It sits beautifully preserved at 1660 Lakeview Avenue in Dracut.

There are two ways to Participate. Register under "event registration" and come and join us to make these 5 projects for your $25 donation. Register ONLINE and save $5.

If you cannot make it for any reason, you can make a donation to "directions only" and for your $20 donation, you will receive the instructions to recreate these gorgeous projects.
