6/18 Stampin' Up Ornament Keepsake and Greetings of the Season, Merry Christmas, Blackberry Bliss and Satin Ribbon

Hello Friends!

Oh goodness, this new Blackberry Bliss Color has stolen my heart!  I have another pretty project using the Ornament Keepsake stamps and coordinating framelits for you today.

I started out by embossing my quarter sheet of Black Berry Bliss Cardstock.  Don't blink I'm almost done!

I stamped the ornament and cut it with the framelits, then popped that up on dimensionals.  Tied the ribbon, and added the banner with the sentiment.  Stick it to the base and add a few pearls and you're done!

I put them on the "I" in Christmas and the center of the ornament.
This card is so simple and will be perfect for the stamp a stack I have here on Friday night.

Want to make your own?  It's simple! If you live close you can sign up to take the class.   Click here to register.  Choose from two time slots 9AM and start time between 5 and 6:30.  Come on by after work and get them done early, so you can still enjoy a Friday night out!  :)

6/17 Stampin' Up Ornament Keepsake & Christmas Messages, Deck the Halls, Lost Lagoon

Good Afternoon Stampers!

I am getting ready for my Christmas card class on Friday!  It's the last of a 3 class series.  In the class, friends will make 12 cards, 4 of each.  I have my eye on this amazing color combination.  How fun to pair the older stamp sets with the brand new colors.  makes them feel brand spankin new!

Although these stamps are not in the current catalog, they are carried over until the middle of August.

Here's my supply clickable list.

Just click through to see the full stamp set or product in my store:
Stamps: Christmas Messages Clear Mount, Ornament Keepsakes Clear Mount Stamp Set
Ink: Lost Lagoon Ink Pad
Paper: Whisper White, Smokey Slate, and Lost Lagoon CardstockIn color paper stack Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  1/8" Silver Ribbon, Self Adhesive Rhinestones, Holiday Ornament Framelit Dies (coordinates with the stamp set), Scallop Border Punch

So this one is pretty simple.  They will stamp the sentiment from Christmas Messages in the Lost Lagoon Ink on the bottom left hand side of the smokey slate layer.  Next, stamp the ornament from the Ornament Keepsake Stamp Set and cut it out with the Big Shot using the Matching Framelits.  (so cool!)  and that's it.. This one goes together very quickly.

In the class, all the pieces are border punched and all the bows are tied before my friends get here so you can just sit back and relax and have 12 cards done before July even comes!  I love that!

Want to get in on the class?  Click here to register.  Choose from two time slots 9AM and start time between 5 and 6:30.  Come on by after work and get them done early, so you can still enjoy a Friday night out!  :)

6/5 Stampin' Up Creative Crew Bloom with Hope and Blendabilities Card, Multiple Medium Card

Good Morning Friends!

I wanted SO BAD to make a video before posting this card.  It is for the Stampin' Up Creative Crew challenges over on split coast.  I'm out of time, and I need to post it, but at some point I'm going to show you how this card just rolls together.  It was so fun to make.

UPDATE** Here's the video!

The Creative Crew Challenge?

CCREW0614CF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM - Catalog Focus: Use your favorite product in your favorite way! Make us fall in love with it too!
I haven't been showing my creations with blendabilites, really because I don't want to tease you!  They are HANDS DOWN my favorite thing in the new catalog.  Stampin' Up chose to put them in the new book so when they roll out in early August for customers so that demonstrators wouldn't need to bring extra sheets for almost a year to workshops when they do go live.  Demonstrators are allowed one set of markers in about 6 of the colors.. Oohh la la, are they fun to work with!

So the reason I wanted to make a video about this one is because of all the mediums I used on the one card.  None of the layers interact with each other, so there's a flawless pearl like finish on what I did.

1. Stamped the image using the new die based ink, called momento ink (will also be available when these beautiful, beautiful, markers are released. )

2. Used the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Blendabilities to shade my flower image.  Each of the colors, comes with 3 markers, so you get a light Razzleberry, a medium, and a rich dark color for each set.

3. I started with the darkest areas of my flower first, then added the medium, then went to the light.  It takes a little bit of self control not to color the whole thing in, so you get that super LUSH dark to light color that makes your eye look twice at it.

4. Next, I went backwards again from light to dark, so you could get that stark contrast in color.

5. With the blendabilities, there's a nifty little tool called the color lifter.  It magically lifts the colors i already laid down on my cardstock to add a highlight, or a light source to my colored image.  So it looks like this flower is sitting in the sun and my light source is coming from behind me on the left.  Do you see it?

6. Next, I colored the stem similar.. this time I went light to dark.  So far I have two mediums.. the momento Dye Based Ink, then the Alcohol Based Markers on top.  (did I mention they match my SU project perfectly and are designed to coordinate colors... Oh such joy.. Anyway...  On top of that, I grabbed my Pink Pirouette Water based Ink Pad and sponged some color over the top.  I did that by inking up my sponge using a circular motion, and then doing the same thing on my paper.  So that's 3 mediums of ink.  Next, I put the card together and added a spritz or two of shimmer spritz.  That made the card all super pearlized and sparkly.  To make my pearls Rich Razzleberry, You guessed it!  I colored them with the blendabilities, waited a second for them to dry and I transferred them to the top of my project.

So there you have it.. At some point I want to make a video to show you how fun they are to work with, but I ran out of time and had to show it for the Creative Crew.

If you want your own set of blendabilites, you might consider the demonstrator opportunity.  Demonstrators always get the inside scoop from stampin up first, and have access to all preorder products.  In addition, this year, Stampin' Up is offering free convention registration to anyone who signs up.   That's a huge value!!

Right now there is a special where you can sign up for only $50, and choose your favorite things up to $55.  and there's no extra shipping costs.  Then, you can get your blendabilities right away that way.  Plus in the first 45 days, you get one special order where you get 30% off instead of 20% to help you get started.  If you have a demonstrator and want to sign up under them, give them a call today!  If you'd like to join my team, you can click here to sign up or pop me an email at e.selene@verizon.net.  I offer a private facebook group for my team, monthly card swap opportunities (this was my swap card for last month), a one on one phone call monthly if you choose so that I can train you and help you with YOUR goals.

You tell me what you want to earn, and I help you get there.  So if your goal is getting your own discount, that's great!  If you want to start your own business and reach for the stars or anywhere in between, I can help with that too.  My Stampers with HeART team and I have lots of fun and some of us are spread out across the country, covering coast to coast.  There's a place for you in my group if you'd like.

Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share with you today.  My big box of goodies came yesterday, and I'll be playing after class this morning.  I'm sure to have more to share very soon!

6/4 Gratitude Jar, MDS

Good Afternoon!

I have a few minutes here so I thought I'd share another project with you.. That's two in one day! Gasp!

This jar didn't take me too long to make today, but it's been in my studio since JANUARY earmarked for this project.  Guess I was just waiting for stampin up to come out with a 2" circle punch, which I received today!

I typed up the "count your blessings" in My Digital studio and printed it on shimmer white paper.  It fit the brand new punch that arrived this morning, via Mr Brown with a big red sticker (for overnight delivery).  I couldn't wait to get my new goodies.  I have two stamping events left this week, and I want to make some samples!!

This is a very special project that I stamped for my best friend, to let her know how much I think about her.  I completed it with the first slip of paper for her jar with my gratitude for her friendship.  The idea behind a gratitude jar is, you write what you are thankful for and stick the papers inside the jar.

Then, when you're having a bad day, you can take all the slips out and remember what matters most.  I love that.  This one is a gift, but i'll be making a replica to sit in my studio so I can write all the things I am grateful for too, like YOU.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

6/4 Stampin' Up Creative Crew, Bloom with Hope & And Many More, No-Line Piercing Technique and Tutorial

Good Morning Friends,

What a whirlwind week it has been and will be!  Last weekend we had dance recitals all weekend for Alexis.  I'll post some photos at the end if you want to peek.

The new stampin up catalog went live. Be sure to email me if you need one, I have batch going out (hopefully today).  Today is the big day that I'm going to be a training call for quite a few peers on how to grow stamp clubs, and later this week I have my 12 card quarterly team training event and catalog rollout!  Whew!

This morning I'm so grateful for so many things.  I took a few hours and just enjoyed the craft. I have been SLACKING in my duties for the Stampin Up, Creative Crew on Split Coast Stampers.  Although I've been very busy, I got my 4 projects done, and I'll be sharing them over the next day or two.  This card actually covers two of the inspirational challenges:

CCREW0614HF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM - Holiday Focus: Celebrate your favorite holiday with a new technique!

CCREW0614SF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM - Scrapbook and More Focus: Celebrate your best friend on a scrapbook page or by making a gift for them.

My favorite holiday (so to speak) is BIRTHDAY'S.  It's typically a special day that you only share with a few people.  There's a reason to eat cake, and you typically spend it with the people you love and who love you.

This card is for one of my very best friends who happens to have a birthday coming up on the 4th of July.  She usually gets red white and blue cards, but I know that my irish friend has green and gold in her heart.  and I wanted to make her something that WASNT those colors on purpose.  :)

I decided also to try and new technique called No-Line Piercing with the Bloom with Hope stamp set.  Here's how you do it.

First, stamp an image on to a heavy weight cardstock.  I used watercolor paper.
Next, poke holes along the outline of the artists image.
When you are done, flip the piece over, it will look something like this.
Next, I added some watercolor and used some of the new in colors Mossy meadow, Hello Honey, and Lost Lagoon.
Further along in the process, i wanted my daisies to stand out so I colored the background.
Next i held my smooch spritz about 8" away and spritzed the cardstock.  A LOT!
Maybe too much, it was oozy and took a while to dry, but I like sparkle.
I finished the card by adding a few of my favorite things.  Gold vellum paper and oh my gosh, that satin Mossy Meadow Ribbon is so Shiny and delish to work with!!
To see more of my friends work from creative crew this month, you can visit the gallery here.  The talent there is outstanding!!  Just sayin'!

I'll be back soon!  I have two more projects to share for the crew!

As promised.. here's my favorite recital photo.. Isn't she gorgeous??
