2/24 Stampin' Up Label Love Birthday and Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper and the scalloped tag topper closure card

Good Afternoon Friends!

I'm so excited about this week's stamp club meeting!  This month, we have several new members, all my clubs filled, and I'm starting a fourth group of 10!  wow!

Over the years my stamp club has become like my family. Here is one of the projects we are making this month.

I just love the sweet sorbet designer series paper!  The packaging says that the color is pool party, but there is also a lighter blue in there, which I realized is soft sky!  So that's my base color.

I love layers, and layering punches.  I used the framelits from apothecary accents for the black, and the modern label punch on top of that.  The happy birthday comes from the Label love stamp set, which is bundled with the punch to save you 15%, love that!  I just love the softness of the blues, contrasting with the stark black!  My club gals are going to have a ball with this... its' so easy to make.

If you are local to me and would like to attend stamp club, just click here to register.  You can come up to two times before deciding if you want to join. but when you get FREE STAMPS, who wouldn't want to be a member?  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

2/21 Stampin Up Masculine, You're How Old??

Good Evening Friends!

I made this fun card for my friend Steve's surprise 40th birthday party.  We went to his birthday party which was in Boston on a very snowy night.

My hubby and I cashed in a free night's stay at a hotel while we were there and when we got there to check in, we were informed at the desk that we got a free upgrade and ended up in this super amazing room for the night!

Although I don't think 40 is very old, Steve was sensitive about his age, so I thought I'd make him a quick and simple card.  Boy, I didn't know how appropriate it would be until we had to slush through the snow and ice to get to his party.  So, what do you think?  Do penguin's have knees?  I'm so silly... couldn't resist.

What a super clean and simple card this is and it's great for a guy.. Especially one that's younger than you.  I'm only 40 too, but I've got Steve by a few months.  So, I'll go on being his "elder" for a little while longer.

If you you would like to see more creative things, more quickly, come on over and check out my creative space on Facebook.  I'm always posting stuff over there, and my friends post there too!  Click here to request entry to the group (i'll approve you, promise).

Thanks for stopping in tonight! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

2/6 Stampin Up Starburst bundle Pouch, Valentine's Day Treat DIY

Good Morning Friends!

Just a quick project share that I made with the Starburst Sayings bundle.  Once a month I go to housing in a town nearby me and stamp with the residents in two locations.  That day really fills me up!  I love the people there and it warms my heart to see them.  This month, I wanted to make some projects that THEY could have themselves and to let them know how I feel about them.

I snapped this photo with my phone, and enhanced it when I got home so I could share the project with you.
1) I started with a 12 x 12 sheet of real red cardstock and scored it at 5 and 7".
2) Then, I flipped the paper and cut at 4" twice.  So that gave me 3 bases to work with for my candy.
3) I attached the topper to the back of the package which is just the largest Oval Collection Framelit Dies and that was cut from the Fresh Prints Designer Paper pack.  They are cut to 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" so I could cut one piece per person, with almost no waste
4) Next I cut a medium cello bag down to 4x5" and just used sticky strip to stick it inside my pouch.
5) the front layers are 5x4 in coastal Cabana and 4 3/4" x 3 3/4" whisper white.
6) the coastal cabana 2 3/8" scalloped circle punch
7) the sentiment comes from the Starburst Sayings bundle.
8) We attached the front with a piece of velcrow
**tip** if you're ever making a paper craft project and your velcro is too sticky, just trim the fuzzy side a little with your scissors and it makes it easier to open and close your treat pouch!
9) Finally I have each resident 3 Ghirardelli chocolate pieces to put inside their pouch.  Many ate the first one!  :)  Can you blame them?

Do you have someone that might like a little treat so they know how much you care?  Try this fun little pouch with a surprise inside!

Thanks so much for popping in here today.  See you tomorrow!

2/3 Stampin' Up! Love you to the Moon and Mojo Monday

Good Morning Friends!

Boy, am I excited to have a few minutes to play along with the mojo Monday sketch challenge site today!  I miss the awesome sketches by Julee, and just have been one busy little bee!

For me, sketch challenges are a jumpstart to creativity when I'm having less than a mojo-riffic day!  Other times, I just like to play along and see how close I can get to the sketch.

Today's sketch is so trendy!  I love all the little pieces and had fun with putting all the layers together.  I used the love you to the moon stamp set from Stampin' Up and the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack.  I just love how simple and pretty this pattern is, and they come in 12 double sided designs (48 sheets that measure 6 1/2 x 4 1/2" ~ perfect for layering on cards).

Here is my supply list

Stamps: Love you to the moon
Ink: Real red Marker
Paper: Whisper white, real red, and Fresh Prints DSP
Accessories: Silver glimmer paper, heart framelits

Thank you so much for stopping by today to visit!  I hope that you got a little inspiration for whatever you might be working on in your stamp room!
