10/23 Stampin' Up! Gentle Peace Christmas Card, Traditional

Hello Friends,

After my stampin class left tonight, I opened my brand new stamp set, Gentle Peace, and played.. and played.  It was JOYFUL!

I started by stamping my image with momento ink on a piece of whisper white card stock.  I started with the night of navy.. This card looked PERFECT to color on my facebook group, but when i'm posting it here, it almost looks purple.  Just click the link above to request entry into my group.  I am forever posting creative projects there and encourage you to share what you are working on in your stamp rooms.

The base is night of navy, as is the second layer and the seam binding ribbon.  I wanted the background to stay subdued to really make the holy family stand out!

I started with my lightest colors and build the darker colors in after by tracing the lines of my stained glass, then blending them.. I used the color lifter to add highlights.

It was so fun to color and play with.  I just hand cut the image out, which was pretty easy (straight lines).

Here is a pretty solid shopping list of everything i used to get this look.  Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Your card is absolutely gorgeous. I ordered this too and can't wait to play. Now I'm thinking I need to do it in navy. :)

TFS!
