Good Morning!
Stampin' Up! is allowing demonstrators to purchase up to two hostess sets from the upcoming idea book and catalog. One of the reasons I chose this set, A Cherry On Top is because of the AMAZING sample that we got to preview from the upcoming idea book and catalog. (we got to see the hostess section of the book) yea!! Looking to sign up so you can see too? Check out my site here.
I knew right away I had to make "that card." Has that ever happened to you? You saw a certain sample and knew you just had to make one? So, this card doesn't stand up on it's own. I used a small stand I found at the Christmas Tree Shop for $1. :) As you can see, my paper piercing isn't perfect... Well, I did it freehand. It's not too bad, is it?
For the base I used the new big shot die, that's capable of doing multiple sheets. It's called Oval Accent Bigz Clear die. To give you an idea of the size, a regular medium sized card base, barely fits. So it's just about exactly a quarter sheet of cardstock, perfect for creating cards!
First I created the piece with the fold, underneath by putting a standard size card base through the big shot. I didnt cut where it folds. Then, I cut another sheet to go on top, that finishes the main shape. So pretty!
The white layer was cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelit die. if you want to see some other shapes that come in that pack, look at the card I did yesterday. :)
The stamp set is called A Cherry On Top, and it will be a hostess set beginning on June 1st! So exciting!! The colors are so DREAMY together. I used Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler for a color set. Oh, it feels so fresh and summery!
Thanks for stopping by!

What a bright and cheery card Selene! These are happy colors together. I think it is just wonderful that you are showing us these sneak peeks! You're the only one that I follow who is doing this. Thank you!! I have a question about this new die...will it fit into an A2 envelope or is it bigger? I'm so happy to see SU! give us new dies like this! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful creativity with us in cyberland!
