8/20 Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking with Tablescapes, Thankful for & gold metallic paper

Good Morning Friends!

I got some really awesome feedback from my facebook page when I posted this cute page set for my class on Friday night.  Click here to register for the class.

Would you like to come and make these cute pages with me?    The class is this Friday and I'll run two sessions.  One at 9AM and then anytime after 5 so you can come and make your pages right from work.

So this set of pages uses the tablescape kit for Thanksgiving from Stampin' Up!  One $19.95 kit, makes enough place settings, candle holders, name tags and such for 10 people.  I love the little pocket and thought how cool it would be to  make it into a class.  So the base layer of these pages are chocolate chip 12 x 12 to match the kit.

The word "thankful" is our new thinlits die.  I like to use a piece of wax paper between the die and the words.  Then I flip it over, and poke the holes (there are holes on the back to get the thin scripty type out.  Once it's started on one end, I just use my paper piercing tool.  (the poker) to dig it out of the back of the die.  It only takes a minute but it is really fabulous.

If you want to save the negative of what you cut out.  remember to save all the pieces to put them back together.  I showed a bunch of cards made with this die over on facebook last week.  Here's the link to that album.  I believe the link will work even if you're not a facebook person.

I'm so excited about my classes this week.  If you are local, you are welcome!  Many demonstrators have asked me if they can come to my classes.  I welcome everyone, just so you know!  :)

Oh, I almost forgot!  If you LOVE the tablescape kit idea.  There is seriously a TON of product in these kits to play with!!!  Here are the links

  • Want the cute wood mount "Thankful for" stamp??  There's a bundle for that!  All the same stuff with the cute stamp!! Can I get a woot woot?? :)  Table Scapes Kit Bundle $23.95 (save 15% off both)

I hope you are enjoying the little sprinkling of inspiration every day.  If you think of it, drop me a line so I know folks are watching!

8/18 Fall Sparkles with Magnificent Maple

Good Morning Friends!

Here's another gorgeous card using the Magnificent Maple Single Stamp from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I know I'm going to get a TON of use out of this stamp.  It's a true beauty!  We will be making this card at my monthly stamp camp class this upcoming Tuesday and Thursday.   Click here to register.

This card features the "Thumping technique" and we used 3 colors for the thumping.  First ink your stamp with the lightest color then thump the other two colors on the stamp.  (kind of like you're playing a drum).  Do them one at a time, building on the colors from lightest to darkest.

So, I inked the up with the Crisp Cantaloupe marker, then thumped on some Baked Brown Sugar, and finished it with the Cajun Craze Marker.

It makes a really cool effect.  So, the colors on this photo are a little off, but I wanted you to see the bit of shimmer we added to the focal point.  It adds so much to the card...  and once again, the photo doesn't do this one justice!  It's AMAZING in person.

Also, a really great addition to ANY fall project is the champagne colored glimmer paper.  It takes the muted fall colors and really makes them pop!  I love the two new in colors with Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar, against the Cajun Craze as well.  The champagne glimmer paper is the perfect addition to that combination!

Supply List
Stamps:
131868 (wood only) Magnificent Maple
Ink: In color 2013-2015 markers and Cajun Craze Marker, Cajun Craze stamp pad for the sponging

Accessories: Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim,  Natural Buttons.

I hope you have your daily dose of inspiration here and feel inspired to give this fun new color combination a try!  Even better, you could come to class and give it a try for yourself!  I'll do all the cutting, just come and have some fun!  Click here to register.

8/16 Simply Grateful ~ Magnificent Maple & Harvest of Thanks

Well, hello there friends!

I know I've been a bit off the grid when it comes to blogging.  It's been a crazy, awesome, amazing, stamping filled 2 months!  I have accepted a position with Ronda Wade and the creating success training team and I've been a busy little bee with another extension of my stampin up business.  I am so happy to be working with Ronda.  She has become a very good friend in the process.  I certainly have been doing my share of stamping and then some.  I just let my blog lapse.  I promise to be more consistent with my posts.  My goal here is to give a little snippit of inspiration every day.  I hope you're willing to take the ride with me.

On a personal note, I turned 40 in July and decided that it's time to take care of me.  This is my first week.  I've been to the gym every single day this week (5 days) and plan to continue that as well!  If you want to catch up and see some of what I've been up to, please check out my business facebook page.  It's so quick to just upload a photo instead of sitting down to write.  But honestly, I miss you!

I'm going to start off simple.  Clean and simple that is!  This super easy card came together in a few minutes this morning.  I cut out the gratitude with my framelits and the leaf with my paper snips.  :)  They ended up being leftover from a project I'm working on for my classes next week.

When I layered the "gratitude" on top of the leaf.. well, I like it!

Base layer is cut to: 11 x 4 1/4" and is scored in half at 5 1/2"
Layer 2: 5 1/8 x 3 7/8"
Layer 3: 5 x 3 3/4"

Tie on some gorgeous organza ribbon, up in a bow and you're almost there.  I just glue dotted the top pieces on.  So simple, but simple done well is just fabulous.

131739 (clear) Harvest of Thanks and
131868 (wood only) Magnificent Maple
