Mojo Monday ~ Chock Full Of Cheer & NEW Rewards Program

Good Afternoon Friends!

This is technically a sneak peek, but you should have your new Stampin' Up! catalog that goes live June 1st in your hands right now.  If you do not have a demonstrator and live in the United States, and would like a catalog, please send me an email.  I would love to be your demonstrator!  I have a brand new REWARDS program, so if you are a current customer, there's wonderful news!

Plus, I am back dating this program to start as of April 1st this year.  If you have placed an order with me, that order counts!

Today, I'm here with my downline Christine.  We've been playing and training all day!  We decided to check out the Mojo Monday sketch.  I am still working off some leftover cut packets I have, but I paired it up with the newest Christmas designer paper which will be available June first!

I did use more paper with the retired snow burst embossing folder. Sorry to show it (I know it's retired)!  I'm using up my supplies.  I paired this up with the brand-y new paper Be of Good Cheer.  So here is my supply list

Stamps:  Chock-Full of Cheer
Ink: Cherry Cobbler Marker
Paper: Be of Good Cheer
Accessories: vintage brads, vanilla seam binding, gumball green stitched satin ribbon, dimensionals, paper snips.

I stamped the candy canes and cut them out by hand, leaving a white border all the way around.  If you find that you have trouble with your "by hand" cutting or you end up choppy, try moving the paper and not your scissors as you cut.  ;-)

Thanks for stopping by.  For those of you that come by and leave me comments every day, please know that you keep me going!  Thanks so much for your support.

Big Hugs!
Selene~

Vintage Create

Good Morning Friends!

Boy did I have fun making this card this morning for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

I had a ball with all the elements in this awesome stamp set Creative Elements.  I was inspired by a card I saw at my team meeting created by Anne Marie Call. I'll be showing all the cards from our monthly swap over on my demonstrator facebook page this week.

When I saw the sketch, I just started playing.  First, the flower.  I hand cut 3 separate layers, then sponged them with Cherry Cobbler Ink.  I attached each layer with dimensionals, so this flower really stands up in real life!.  At the top I used one large pearl.  These are available in the mini.

I created the ribbon leaves, similar to a card I did last week.  Here's a quick visual on how to do it.

Just tie a big bow, then loop another piece of ribbon under the bottom to make the leaves.   I think it's pretty in white.  :)

On the piece I cut out to follow the sketch this morning, I stamped "create" then ran it through the big shot again to cut it a bit smaller.  I love how it's the same size as the larger panel cut out of the background.

When I was all done, I realized I mis-stamped my background a bit in the top right hand corner, so I added a butterfly.  Sometimes when you make a mistake, it's best to add a layer and just keep moving onward! :D

Here's the measurements for my project:
Base Layer: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 1/4" crumb cake.
Layer 2: 5 1/8" x 3 5/8" very vanilla
Layer 3: 5 x 3 3/4" cherry cobbler
Layer 4:  5 x 3 3/4" crumb cake with a label die cut to show the cobbler.
Layer 5:  Ribbon border punch in vanilla (stuck to the back of layer 6 for a decorative edge
Layer 6: 1 x 3 3/4" piece of Designer Paper Timeless Portrait.
Layer 7: Crumb cake cardstock with create stamped in cherry cobbler
Layer 8-10: The flower layers

Stamps: Creative Elements
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, and Crumb cake ink pads
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, crumb cake, very vanilla, Timeless Portrait DSP
