Patti Cake Mojo ~ for my mom

I'm always bummed out when I can't take a little time to play. I like to play along with Mojo Monday, and this week I was just too busy to do it on Monday. I was also over on Stamping 411 today, and noticed my good buddy Patti's delicious color challenge. I remembered (or so I thought) a circle on the mojo sketch, and I've been wanting to put some ink on my St. Patty's Day Stamp.

Oh my goodness Patti's colors, St. Paddy...That's pretty funny! lol (I have issues)... At least I'm still creative, right?

Anywho~ this card is for my mom. Yep, you guessed it.. my mom is Irish. Actually, she came to the US when she was 16 and still has her accent (so I'm told, I don't really hear it, maybe because she's my mom).

I have to tell you this ribbon, crochet Trim Victoria 5/8" by Stampin' Up! really speaks to me when I think of my mom. Growing up, every room had lace curtains with lots of light coming through. I did take some liberties with the sketch just to fit my image, but I think it came out so pretty!

Patti's color challenge is chocolate, wasabi, celery, and crumb cake! Such a delicious combination! Reminds me of flying over Ireland and witnessing in person the 40 shades of green.. then the thatched roof cottages and stone walls. What a great combination.

After a really rough week last week, it's nice to escape a little into a piece of artwork and that's exactly what I got to do! Hurray! :D
