Team Meeting Stamp Project

Tonight at my team meeting, we had a great time making these FUN, scrapbook pages for dad! These are the same as the previous chipboard wall art projects that I have been doing, but it seems like a great time of year for making things for dad.

I find that the tombo multipurpose adhesive works EXCELLENT for adhering paper to chipboard. So, do you think my husband will like this set, when i put a photo of Alexis on there? Let me know what you think about this chipboard gift set and you could win a prize!

How Cute Is This?

I just love open stamp night at my place! This week my friends Deb and Tammy came by. Deb was busy dying our natural albums to match her gift book for a friend, while Tammy surprised us with an AWESOME CARD!

Something Special For Dad

Looking for something special for Dad? This is a terrific way to show the guy in your life how special he is!

First, I got my daughter in beside the sink and got her all messy with craft ink. We used her hands like human stamps and captured her handprint. Last year, I did something similar with tiles and ceramic paint, but this is much nicer!

When the image was on the paper, I hit it with the heat gun quickly to make sure it was dry, then put a good thick coat of crystal effects on top. My daughter's handprint will be forever caught in crystal. =)

This DSP is my husband's favorite (he loves the color) so I thought it would make something nice for his office for Father's Day.

Chip Board Tips.

One of the biggest chipboard questions I get from clients and friends is what to do with it!

Well, you can color it (with craft ink) then, stamp on it, add glitter, punch holes in it, run ribbon through. You can cover it with paper, embellish away! This is probably THE most versitile accessory that Stampin' Up! carries!

This image is a card that we did last night for the Techique Junkies Club. Chipboard is SO much fun, and is quickly becoming my favorite new accessory.

In this case, we used a sponge dauber to apply real red craft ink, then embossed it with clear embossing powder. That's not all! Rub-on's quickly and easily layer right on top of just about any surface, so after we had the shiny surface, we rubbed on a star!

We finished it by punching a coordinating paper star and sticking it on with a glue dot. I love the east coast prep paper.. You could put almost anything with this and it would look fabulous.

Chipboard Frame Tutorial

When I was away on my trip to Bermuda, I saw this project at the project share. I do not know who the original artist is, but it is beautiful! If you are or know the person who designed this project, please contact me so I can give proper credit.

Anyway ~ It is a 9 1/2” square scrapbook page ~ mounted to a piece of our large book chipboard.

I thought, how fabulous! Now I can display scrapbook pages in a “framed” format. Except, I needed to figure out a way to mount a stand of some sort. What else but more chipboard popped in my head.. here’s what I did.

1. I designed some pages of my own.

2. Cut a piece of chipboard from the smaller book kits. It measures 5 x 7 ½. I cut 2 inches off the long end to make a nice sturdy stand. The finished peice will be 5 x 2 inches. Stampin' Up's Table Top paper cutter, cuts the chipboard like butter.

3. Next, With a hobby blade and mat, slice your chipboard at the 4 inch mark, leaving a one inch section .

4. Apply crystal effects to that one inch section.
5. Line up where you would like the frame to stand and attach the back.
6. Lay it flat to dry. And use your finger to support it for one minute. You may add a little extra crystal effects to the part that you cut with the hobby blade for stability. Note: At this point I also added crystal effects to the line that folded out. this will make sure that your frame stand wont move or break.

An Album for My Cousin

My cousin and his wife are pregnant, and they haven't found out the sex of the baby yet! This past weekend, we went to the baby shower (it was a Jack & Jill style shower so my hubby went too).

Anyway, I got them a gift card and made them this adorable album. I actually made it for the album in an afternoon class. One customer made two albums at the class! How fun!

I decorated the front of this album with a chipboard tag, covered it with paper using our anywhere glue sticks and glued it right to the front of the album with crystal effects!
