8/18 Stampin' Up Just Add Text and a Daisy Punch! #FridayFun

Hello Friends,

I am so excited to be sharing a card from my workshop this week.  I do love sitting with friends doing crafts and spending time together.  This particular group I meet with them every single month, and they totally bless me.  I love how Stampin' Up brings that into my life and theirs.  This card was a big hit at the gathering this month, and I love how simple it is!  I'll post this week's video at the bottom, but first how about some measurements so you can recreate it if you like.

Here are the colors I used.

Measurements:
Base: Crumb Cake 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 1/4"
Layer 2: Melon Mambo, 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Layer 3: Crumb Cake, 5 x 3 3/4"
Layer 4: Melon Mambo 3" square, die cut with the stitched framelits die
Layer 5 & 6: Two Daisies, punched from the Stampin' Up! daisy punch
Layer 7: Daffodil Delight 3/4" circle, popped up with a dimensional
Layer 8: Glitter enamel Dot

The video this week is very short, only about 5 minutes, but I talk about some really cool design concepts including framing things by making sure that 3 sides are equal, and the rule of thirds.

Thanks for checking it out!

Love,
Selene

8/16 Stampin Up' Awesomely Artistic, Woosh Technique, Clearance Rack Updated and more!

Hello Friends!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I have another color with the Inkpad Woosh technique for you!  Did you miss the video?  I'll post all the details down below the main body of this post so you can see how I did this one.

For this one I started with watercolor paper, and added some Marina Mist.  It's been forever since I used that color!  I finished up with Pacific point to get the dark, splattered some wink of stella on it (of course), then I walked away for a day and let my watercolor paper dry!  However, please be sure to check out the video links below to see the Woosh technique in action if you missed the video!

I cut the ovals out of the layer underneath, stamped my dragonfly,  cut him out and layered it back together with some Mini Stampin Dimensionals!  The word "friend" is also stamped in pacific point. Super simple, super pretty!  I could see making a bunch of these.

How about some measurements?

Base: Shimmer white Card stock. 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 1/4"

Layer 2: Pacific Point 5 1/4" x 4, large scalloped oval cut out using the layering ovals dies

Layer 3: Watercolor Paper 5 x 3 3/4" large layered oval cut out

Layer 4: Shimmer white cardstock scrap for the dragonfly, cut with paper snips.

Speaking of, I have a whole bunch of news for you!  First, here is my shopping list if you need a thing or two, my current host code is: FFFR4PQH

Stampin Up, Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set and "Woosh Technique" Video with Wink of Stella

Happy Friday Friends!

I should say happy #FridayFun.  I will be posting a video every week on Friday on youtube and on my Create with Selene business page.  Please like my page if you're so inclined, I share a ton over on Facebook and sometimes it's more than I'm able to do here.

My friend Regina shared a cool project at our team meeting (i show you in the video) and I played with that Woosh Inkpad technique.  I had so much fun.  I made a quick video to how you how we made the backgrounds for these awesome cards.

First, here's the link to the video:

Here's a few shots of the cards I made.  With the sparkle from the wink of stella, the photos don't do them justice!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  i have listed all the supplies if you need anything to try making them!
