Good Morning Friends!
It's a busy week here in the studio with stamp club! I love my stamp club members, there's 30 of them!! They all come through over the course of the last week of the month. Over the years my stamp club and my team have become like extended family!
In good times and in the not so good times, we build each other up and come together for a short break from the CRAZY that life dishes out and we craft together. I'm proud just to know so many wonderful, successful, happy women. THAT'S the thing that you cant TOUCH that Stampin' Up provides, but you can certainly feel it!
This pretty card is another creation for my big Sale-A-Bration kickoff event. The event serves as a quarterly training for my downline and a way to celebrate the new free items that you can snatch up with every $50 order through the season. The cards are all designed and mostly prepped, now I'm onto doing the little things that will make the event special. Gifties ~ of course there's a bundle of FREE raffles. Oh we will have so much fun! The event is open to everyone, and if you're a demonstrator, we will also have a baggie book option, if you prefer to have something you can easily show your customers, you can check out an example of that on this post.
Aren't these colors to die for?? I'm a big cheater!! I grabbed the colors in the designer paper and just went for that! If it ain't broke, right?? So there's blushing bride, and raspberry ripple, bermuda bay, and gumball green. Such a fun and AWESOME color combo! The splash of color on top of the candles is daffodil delight. It uses two products from the sale a bration catalog, the decorative dots embossing folder, and the birthday stamp from See Ya Later. :)
Want one of your own? The SAB kickoff event is open to everyone if you can get here!! :) I'd love to spend some time stamping and laughing with you! Thanks so much for popping in here today. See you tomorrow!
Love,
Selene Kempton

I didn't think we needed another grey... Alas, I was wrong. I'm in total LOVE with smokey slate, and when I saw the image from this stamp set See Ya' Later, I thought of using the new Starburst framelits right away to make a sun! :)
This cute little image layers up quickly to make a wow in the middle of my smokey slate background. I stamped my sentiment in basic grey twice. I stamped it on whisper white and on crushed curry cardstock. Then, I cut a paper banner out of the crushed curry, and punched the whisper white one with a 1 3/4" circle punch. The yellow "sun" layer was cut from the new starburst framelit dies, and I layered a 2 3/8" coastal cabana scalloped circle punch behind that. Easy, and a wow! So here are some measurements.
Measurements:
Base Layer: Smokey Slate Cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/2"
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4" Smokey Slate Cardstock, embossed with the
Layer 3: 3 3/4" x 1 1/2" piece of Eastern Elegance Designer paper
Layer 4: White Organza Ribbon.
Layer 5: Coastal Cabana Cardstock, punched with the 2 3/8" scalloped circle punch
Layer 6: Crushed Curry Cardstock, cut with the starburst framelit dies
Layer 7: Stamped image from See Ya Later Stamp Set on Whisper White with Basic Grey Ink, punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch
Layer 8: Crushed Curry Cardstock Banner
I finished off the card with a few self adhesive pearls. So beautiful!! I can think of a LOT of people I could send this one to. :)
With any $50 purchase you can pick any of the gifties in the sale-a-bration book for FREE! This is my FAVORITE sale of the year!
The stamp set shown above comes in both (133533) wood mount or clear mount (133536) options.

1/27/14 Stampin' Up Undefined & Really Good Greetings
Well hello there!
I have not dropped off the blog-o-sphere.. :) Well, maybe I did for a little while. I've been a busy girl! I went to the stampin up leadership conference in Houston and had a BLAST! I've also been planning a huge quarterly downline training event for my demonstrators. That is scheduled for February 9th, and yesterday, I finished prepping the 12 different projects we will be making. If you live local to me and would like to attend as a demonstrator or a customer, you can click here to go to that event page. All the projects will feature the four new sale a bration stamp sets that go live tomorrow! I'll be posting some sneak peeks this week. (promise)
The above photo is of me and my wonderful friend Patti Chesky. We got a BRAND new stamp set from the upcoming July idea book and catalog, but I'm not allowed to show the actual product we won. :)
Let's get down to business! Check out this AWESOME stamp I carved while I was at leadership!! My stamp club this month are going to make this pretty little gem. I had so much fun!!
I started out by drawing a picture of my favorite flower, a daisy with a pencil. From the paper drawing, I used the back of the carving tool to transfer my image onto the rubber, then I carved it out! It took me about 40 minutes to carve the image as there was some detail to my flower. My rounded edge drawing took on new form when I carved it. I just LOVE the effect! I chose to leave some of the imperfections, as it added to the image when you really analyze it. I think it looks a ton better than my original drawing. It sort of came to life when I carved it! I'm addicted! I think the hardest part of undefined is deciding what image to carve.
I'd love to make some more artwork with undefined and I have a favor to ask! What image would you like to see me do next? Leave me a comment and I'll get to work on it!! :) Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'm back and I have a TON more to share with you!
