Plan Your Purchases ~ Buy Smarter

Don't you just LOVE our designer series papers (DSP)?
Stampin' Up! has already done the work for us when it comes to color coordination. So, I say, let's take advantage! I have been advising some of my club members when they are looking to make purchase to buy smarter product, not more product.

Spring/Summer Catalog DSP Colors

Azure: Brilliant Blue, Very Vanilla
Bali Breeze: Old Olive, Taken with Teal, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie
Berry Bliss: Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa
Cutie Pie: Bashful Blue, Basic Black, Certainly Celery, Rose Red, So Saffron
East Coast Prep: Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, More Mustard
Flowers for You: Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac, Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise
Fall Flowers: Old Olive, Really Rust, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand
Ginger Blossom: Ruby Red, River Rock, Cameo Coral, Groovy Guava
Jersey Shore: Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue
Le Jardin: River Rock, So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue
Notebook: Soft Sky, Kraft, VanillaOlive Press: Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Porcelain Prints: Blue Bayou, River Rock, Wild Wasabi
Spring Break: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky
Spring Fling: Certainly Celery, Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron
Spring Silhouettes: Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, Soft Sky, Very Vanilla
Western Sky: Ruby Red, River Rock, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky

For Example, the project above uses Ginger Blossom DSP. I looked at the list of what matches the coordinating paper, when making choices about what to put together on the above project. You dont need ALL 5 colors that match the DSP, but if you pick 2 or 3, you will have a great pallette of colors to play with, and end up using ALL your DSP, plus all the cardstock you have matches, instead of having 20 colors that might seem like a maze of sorts when trying to decide what to put together.

What is your next project? What do you think you will be working on? Start with a patterned paper and rather than purchase EVERY color in a combination pack, purchase 2 or 3 full packs of the colors that match that paper.

Want to step it up a bit? Add a ribbon and maybe some dimensionals and you're good to go on your next project!

If you have any questions at all about this, please let me know and I'd be happy to help you!

Happy Planning!

Open Stamp Night

We had a BLAST at open stamp night last night. There were a whole bunch of people here and we had pizza and laughed a bunch. It was most especially great because everyone was helping each other. It was just so much fun. My friend JoAnne, opened up and used some of her supplies and was so happy with the outcome.

I'M SO HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME. See what she made ~ Aren't these pretty? On this card we added some sparkle with a versamarker and Iridecent Ice on the gymnast outfit. I'm not sure if you can see it in the photo, but it's so pretty in real life!

This is a quick card that i made for my camping buddies. I put some of SU!'s new chunky red glitter on the fire. It may be hard to see in the photo, but it's so pretty in real life! Thanks for visiting!

Brayered Sky Technique

When I saw this card created by Michelle Zindorf, I knew I had to try this technique.

Here is my remake of her card that I did this week with my "technique junkies" group. Are you interested in a regular night out once a month? Give me a call!
