Military Friend
Tonight was open stamp night. A few friends came by to learn how to mount their stamps. One of the girls mentioned her husband is in Kuwait and she is sending him a package.
She said that the biggest thing he misses, being in the desert is the color green. When she said that i got a picture in my head and made this card up while they mounted their stamps. The envelope and inside of the card both are stamed with the stamp in the front of the photo shown here and reads "you make my life a beautiful thing" and will be from his wife for Christmas.
I couldnt think of a better way to use this stamp. For those of you that have your loved ones near this holiday, give them an extra hug. Imagine having a loved one that far away.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Crystal Effects - Ways to use it
Did you know that you can use crystal effects to add a button to your stamped work of art?
First, I used craft ink and clear embossing powder to emboss a pink background on the button.
Then, I tied a piece of pink gingham through the holes and used a daub of crystal effects to glue the button to the front of my baby girl card.
Have a great Wednesday!

October Scrapbooking
Always a month ahead, this month we did a "Thankful Times" spread. With the recent scare with my hubby's health, we are thankful for many things. Mostly, just thankful to take a walk out at the apple orchard and pick some apples. This layout was inspired by a pair of my daughters pants from gymboree. LOL They were striped, Prety in pink, pomegranate, pumpkin, and guava. We had fun with the watercoloring on this page.

Tonight's Scrapbook Class
___________________ I have really fallen in love with versamarker. I used the versamarker to make the "haunting gravestones" at the bottom of this page.
It really makes me wish I had a little monster running around to photograph (mini-mouse photos weren't cutting it!)
I just love the Designer Series Paper for Halloween this year! Stampin' Up! never ceases to amaze me with all the creative options I have. Thanks for looking!

Gamsol Magic!
This wonderful technique is one of the techniques at this month's technique junkies meeting. We moved it to Tuesday the 17th because I'll be out of town on Thursday. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking.
Gamsol Magic ~ Gamsol is a blending solution used for blending Stampin' Up's pure color pencils... I love playing with this technique!

Boxes, Bow's and Ornaments ~ all made from paper in a snap!
This is for a class I will be offering in early October! You will be AMAZED at how SIMPLE this is to make! We will make a few different sized boxes with bows and i will show you to make how to make a paper lantern ornament.
The best part, all you need is paper, and some glue dots! This will be a VERY fun class.

Workshop and Club card this month.
This month will be spooky when we learn how to do the versamark lift... Sounds like a dance doesn't it?
I did a similar card last year, and many people have asked, so we are revisiting this terrific techinque.
At the technique junkies club this month we will also do some spooky embossing with the same wheel. Thank you for looking!
