8/18 Fall Sparkles with Magnificent Maple

Good Morning Friends!

Here's another gorgeous card using the Magnificent Maple Single Stamp from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I know I'm going to get a TON of use out of this stamp.  It's a true beauty!  We will be making this card at my monthly stamp camp class this upcoming Tuesday and Thursday.   Click here to register.

This card features the "Thumping technique" and we used 3 colors for the thumping.  First ink your stamp with the lightest color then thump the other two colors on the stamp.  (kind of like you're playing a drum).  Do them one at a time, building on the colors from lightest to darkest.

So, I inked the up with the Crisp Cantaloupe marker, then thumped on some Baked Brown Sugar, and finished it with the Cajun Craze Marker.

It makes a really cool effect.  So, the colors on this photo are a little off, but I wanted you to see the bit of shimmer we added to the focal point.  It adds so much to the card...  and once again, the photo doesn't do this one justice!  It's AMAZING in person.

Also, a really great addition to ANY fall project is the champagne colored glimmer paper.  It takes the muted fall colors and really makes them pop!  I love the two new in colors with Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar, against the Cajun Craze as well.  The champagne glimmer paper is the perfect addition to that combination!
