Good Evening Friends!
It's time for another sketch challenge from your stamping 411 operators. This week's sketch is a simple one and gave me the opportunity to play with some of the new stamps and accessories from stampin up!
I started this card with a strip of designer paper cut to 1 1/2: inches wide and used a square punch to make my ribbon banner. I used the
new scalloped edge die for either side of my DSP Banner, and just ran it through the big shot.
The edge of the card was cut with a different new edgelet (from the same pack, then embossed with the coordinating embossing folder, and stamped! Whew!)
The base layer of my card is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" scored and folded in half at 4 1/4". This card was quickly converted into a calendar by adding one more score line @ 2 1/4" to my base layer and adding a card sized topper.
Some really cool projects came out of this weeks sketch! Sorry to be so brief, I'm running out the door to meet a stampin buddy!
Until later, rubbah hugs,
Selene Kempton
Great card! Love your edge, and the colors! You rock!
ReplyDeleteHi Selene,
ReplyDeleteI picked up your blog via Stamping 411. Whilst I cannot get the Stampin' Up products in South Africa, I find your blogs a huge source of inspiration and always pick up a tip or two from them, as well as using the layouts for my cards occasionally. I buzzed through your blog quickly and will take my time in a quieter moment to study all your tutorials. You are a very special person, taking the time to do these tutorials and I look forward to learning lots from you.

I forgot to say, it was the edge that caught my eye with this card as well as how easily you turned the style into a calendar! The colors as well..... Super card!

Your card is beautiful and as Moz says, your instructions are awesome! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, Selene, a card and a calendar. They are both so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSelene what beautiful style you have. I didn't actually see your card until I was posting mine, so kind of chuckled that we'd used the same stamp sets and the edgelits. When I went into your blog I too was so impressed with your beautiful projects and how you made this sketch into a calendar that's equally as nice as your stunning card. TFS your inspirations.
ReplyDeletegorgeous card Selene! How did you color those flowers???
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and calendar Selene I am anxiously awaiting my new edgelits which should be here later this week!
ReplyDeleteSelene,
ReplyDeleteThis is phenomenal. I love everything about this one girlfriend. You did a fabulous job of showing off some new product.
I love this layout as an easel card, and the layers peeking out from the inside. Beautiful!
