This week's bloggers challenge theme is Happy Fall Yall! I have to admit, I used a card from my workshop last week. I'm really loving pastels lately. I've rediscovered them as a tool I like, instead of a mystery...
I was so excited when I found a stamp from this set that I misplaced ~ the leaves ~ that I used this set for my workshop last week.
I stamped the tree in chocolate chip ink on shimmer white paper and used versamark to stamp the leaves 3 times. In between, I added chalk with sponge daubers using the poppin pastels technique.
There is something about shimmer white paper and chalk pastels together. They work SO very well together!
After doing the poppin pastels on the tree, i used the sponge daubers to make my ground. I just smudged the chalk onto the shimmer with the pastels, the ground is so soft and pretty.
I used a retired stamp set for the sentiment ~ one i'll never part with, and then used the versmark for the leaves on kraft colored paper to make the background!
Happy Fall Yall! Check out what my girlfriends are doing over in the bloggers challenge group! If you're in the area, I'll be at a craft fair tomorrow at St. Margarite D'youville on lakeview ave in Dracut. I hope you have a great weekend and have a chance to stamp something for fun.
Is that Draaaaacut or Drayyycut? LOL!
