I needed a baby card, but i really wanted to go a little outside the box today. I always see baby cards in the traditional pink blue yellow and green colors, but this textured cardstock DSP really helps break the mold a little.
I cut the center panel (white) of this card to 3x4, and cut the blue waves 3 x 2. then i ripped those panels in half and stuck them on to create my waves. I used blender pens and ink pads to ink up my stamp and cut it out to make the boat.
I removed 3 crystal clear brads from their casing and glued them on with crystal effects. A simple yet gorgeous sketch. Would you like to play along?? Join us over at the diva's coffee break blog and submit your card with mr. Linky!
Happy Wednesday!

Selene, I just LOVE this! The crystal brads glued on like that are so cool- just like water droplets splashed out of the water! Great colors and torn waves- I love this for a baby card!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Selene ! Nice how you did the waves !
ReplyDeleteNice job with the challenge. I love the ribbon. I also like your idea of taking the crystal brads apart and using just the crystal. I will have to remember that.
ReplyDeleteLove it when you think outside the box! Great card!
